Please don’t bow down to those demanding a higher cap for paragon points. This will be how every player will face pushing now. Instead of just knowing they got a thousand more paragon points, you will know that some RNG win happened, or extreme skill. Watching the top of the leaderboard be stuck at one spot and then for one person to beat it – well that will be more of an event. You either need to keep attempting different strategies and hope for some better drops along the way, or you will have met your limit. You can’t just grind paragon to be gifted the next GR. What this does is put items back in the forefront for the highest levels of pushing. There is no prerequisite grind for a baseline of power. There is no baseline of power so nobody is faced with a grind towards it. An infinite cap is a whole different ball game. So keeping the cap at about 800 is a very reasonable place to begin a baseline power. And nobody likes long grinds just to get to a baseline.
So the higher the paragon cap, the more grinding there is to achieve a baseline standard. Once you introduce a cap, that establishes a baseline of power.
